It’s a collection of songs and performances I recorded in 2024 in my home studio in Copenhagen, featuring Levi, the drummer from Logic, and myself on pianos, synths, bass, vocals and guitar. It is a similar process to my first album Romantic, but this time with a more coherent style and also going a bit deeper emotionally.

I made it all this year, except for the lyrics on "You attract what you put out in the world" which is a text I wrote some years ago. Each track was completed as part of WeeklyBeats, a community based challenge to create a song every week for a year, and this selection is my exploration of the jazz fusion 70s sound, with distorted electric piano, singing and spoken word, and plenty of philosophy and humor sprinkled around.

I take my music very seriously, and also not at all, and I feel like I am saying some very important and personal things in some of these songs. My songs are sometimes ridiculous and some people told me it’s hard to know when I am trying to be funny or serious. To help, I think you should take an extreme view: either take every word I say as truth or ignore everything I say and try to hear it as meaningless noise; there is no in-between.

I hope this music resonates with you, and gives you something to think about, makes you feel a little bit more groovy and cool, makes you look at things differently and with more whim. I hope you enjoy hearing the grooves of Levi the drummer, and my attempts at shredding some sick piano lines on top. I hope my stories make you laugh and cry, and in general give you lots of warm fuzzy feelings inside, and I hope you will listen to this a few times every now and then, and remember me.

Whatever you take out of these songs now is up to you, and I hope that through my music I can inspire you to consider things more deeply, take a step back and many steps forward, be a better, more loving and creative person, find joy in small things, care more about grand things, and think about your role in the circus of life. We’re in it together and this album is my way of contributing to this weird, complicated and sometimes pointless journey we call life.
